Build Your Own Website in 10 Minutes: A Straightforward WordPress Tutorial
As someone with 10 years of WordPress website building and management experience, I’ve seen countless tutorials that overcomplicate things. Since I hate unnecessary hassle, I’ve created this guide—follow these steps, and you’ll have your own website in just 10 minutes.
To start, you need a web hosting service. The one I’ve used for 7-8 years is affordable and reliable (less than 3/month,28.7/year), perfect for WordPress.

After purchasing, you’ll land on the homepage (see image below):

Click the “Manage” feature to enter the hosting dashboard.

Next, click the “Add Website” button.

Agree to the default terms and click “Next”.

Click “Create Website”, then proceed to “Next”.

Select your language, enter your email and password, and click “Next”.
(Save your email and password securely—you’ll need them later!)

Register a Free Domain
When purchasing a new WordPress hosting plan (12+ months), your first domain is free for the first year.
Enter your desired domain name and click “Next” (see image below).

Domain registration typically requires Hostinger’s approval, which takes up to 48 hours (usually 24 hours in my experience).
If you don’t want to wait, use a temporary domain instead—click “Use Temporary Domain” (see image below).

Confirm Your Website is Live
Visit your domain or temporary domain. If you see the default WordPress page (as shown below), your site is ready!

Access Your WordPress Dashboard
Your admin panel URL follows this format: yourdomain.com/wp-admin/
Example: If your domain is studywordpress.com, go to studywordpress.com/wp-admin/
For temporary domains, add /wp-admin/ to the end of the URL.
If you land directly on the dashboard (see image below), you’re set!

If prompted, enter the email and password you saved earlier to log in (see image below).

And that’s it! Your website is live. Isn’t it simple?
